Read MoreWe are now being fueled off the methane being produced from Baldwin Dairy. Cows creating the fuel to heat the greenhouse to grow the fish that create the fertilizer to grow the greens... it does not get any better than that!!
This is a major milestone for our facility. By using renewable methane energy, we are able to heat our 27,000 square foot greenhouse throughout the Wisconsin winter at a fraction of the cost of conventional heating. It also means that our food production has an even smaller carbon footprint — waste that would have been released into the atmosphere as a greenhouse gas is now being captured and put to work.
We look forward to expanding this program and exploring other ways to use the energy produced by our neighbors at Baldwin Dairy.
